Happy New year!
This is TJ’s first new year… he was quiet while firecrackers were damaging our ear drums and while fireworks lit up the sky.
Less smoke here in Bulacan than in Marikina. Good thing we decided to have the new year here.

Its now time to go back to Bulacan. We’ll spend New Year there. We were accompanied by my Mom, Brother, Aunt and Cousin. Lots of bodyguards huh?
Like the previous travel, TJ was quiet. I’m thinking of taking him to Davao!
My aunt Meg did some shopping for TJ. She bought here a lot of stuff. Even my cousin gave TJ a bag. Thank You!
This is TJ’s first Christmas. A lot of people gave him gifts!
But for us, he was the best gift we received to date!
The plan was, spend Christmas in Marikina and spend the new year in Bulacan. And so we did.
We’re now here in Marikina after a long ride from Bulacan. TJ was quiet during the travel. Her mom was holding her at the back while I was in front.
Its the first time that my Dad saw his grandson. He wasn’t able to go to the hospital due to health concerns.
The other day, I was here to “inspect” the preparations made for the coming of the “Prince” :D
Me and my mom went to the mall to buy some baby stuff. We spent around P5,000! But that’s nothing compared to the smiles that we have on our faces.
Welcome to Marikina TJ!
During the first few nights, I attempted to be awake for my baby TJ and just get some sleep during the day. However, it was not possible and not practical – as I was told by my sister-in-law.
She said that we should sleep while TJ is asleep and just wake up when he’s awake and needs feeding. And so that’s what we did. or should I say, that’s what wife did.
It was my wife who would always get up to feed TJ. I was sound asleep. But i took care of TJ during the day while my wife was taking power naps.
After two days in the hospital, the Doctor allowed us to go home. TJ was healthy and his mom can continue her recovery at home.
We decided it will be best if we live with my wife’s parents. There TJ will be well taken cared of. Unlike in our house in Marikina where most of the time only my Dad is home.
The idea of living separately from our parents was also taken. But it would still be best to live with our parents for now.
TJ will be sleeping beside us.
Welcome home son!
I’m new to being a Dad. I didn’t have any training on how to change diapers, how to hold a baby, etc. It was
It was all my wife who first took care of TJ.. I was more of the apprentice.
Good thing she has had an experience taking care of a baby, her nephew who is now more than a year old.
She was the one who changed the diapers and frequently held him in her arms even though she was still in pain after giving birth (normal delivery)
His first bath was kinda excruciating for me to see. Coz he was crying.. really crying hard.
But the nurse said it was normal. But what wasn’t normal to me is how the nurse handled my son. It was like she was just holding a doll and not a baby.. a living person. But wife and I just thought that they might be used to doing that so they are not that “careful” anymore.
I didn’t make it. He came out at 6:13PM. I was still on board the plane, up in the air. What’s worse was that I got stuck in traffic for two and a half hours! From NAIA terminal 2 to Chinese General Hospital. My Mother-in-law kept on texting me to ask where I was. I can’t do anything about it. Traffic everywhere. It was rush hour. The first thing I wanted to do when I got to the hospital was see my son. Good thing I was still allowed to see him even if the viewing time was over. Here’s he is…
It was a great feeling. It was one of the happiest moments in my life. I am now a dad!
I quickly posted his first pics on facebook so that all my friends can see.
Hello son.
